Vulnerable Road Users and Automated Vehicles in Mixed Traffic Situations

Road safety will be faced with new challenges, especially for the phase of mixed traffic in the transition to fully automated vehicles.

Together with national and international experts, the conference aims to examine the role that road safety should play within the transition phase of mixed traffic situations. The position of road safety in this system will be explored from various angles.

This conference is directed at anyone interested in learning more about this topic. Especially those from research, public administration and industry are explicitly invited to share their ideas on the future of road safety regarding Automated Driving.

VRVis-Symposium: Visual Computing Trends 2017

The symposium will give an overview of future developments in Visual Computing by the following top-level experts: Nadia Magnenat Thalmann, George Drettakis, Eugene Fiume, and Helwig Hauser). The symposium is meant to inform participants about key open challenges as well as scientific and industrial trends. After each talk there will be extended discussions on core technological issues. The symposium will close with a panel discussion with all invited speakers.
